Privacy Policy
Effective July 31, 2026
Tiltza is made by Teddy Code LLC. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app. The short version: Tiltza reads your phone's motion sensor, keeps what it needs on the phone, and has no account, no server and no permissions to ask for.
Who we are
Information we do not collect
We do not ask for, receive or store your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location or any other personal identifier. Tiltza has no account, no sign-in and no user profile.
We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services, we do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.
Information stored on your device
So that the app behaves the way you left it, Tiltza saves a small amount of data in its private storage on your phone:
- the mode you were last using;
- your calibration offset, so your own phone reads zero when it is level;
- your haptic and sound preferences, and the tolerance you set;
- the last 20 readings you chose to save, with their angles and the time they were taken;
- your language preference.
Saved readings are angles and timestamps. They carry no location: Tiltza never requests location access, so it has no idea where a measurement was taken. This data never leaves your device, is not readable by other apps, and is not accessible to us. The History screen can clear the saved readings, and uninstalling the app removes everything.
Permissions and sensors
Tiltza requests no runtime permissions at all. It does not ask for your microphone, camera, location, contacts, photos or files.
It does read your device's accelerometer, which on Android and iOS needs no permission. That sensor reports how the phone is tilted, several times per second, and that is the whole app. Motion data is used to draw the current angle and is not logged, profiled or transmitted.
Internet use
Tiltza does not use the internet. It has no server, no backend and no remote content, so it works exactly the same in airplane mode. The app makes no network request of its own in this version.
The only future exception is advertising, described below.
Advertising
This version of Tiltza shows no advertising and requests no ads. Google's Mobile Ads library is included in the app so that a later version can be supported by advertising, but it is switched off: the SDK is not initialised, no consent prompt is shown and no ad is ever requested.
If we turn advertising on in a future release, we will publish an updated policy with it. Where the law requires consent (the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and US states with applicable privacy laws) you will be asked before any personalized advertising, and you will be able to refuse. Google describes its own handling of advertising data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Children
Tiltza is a general-audience app. It is not directed to children under 13, and it contains nothing aimed at them.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included. Because we collect nothing, there is nothing for us to delete. If you believe otherwise, please contact us.
Your rights
Because we do not collect or process personal data about you, we hold nothing to give you access to, correct, export or erase. The data described above stays under your control on your own device.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Brazil, California or another region with data-protection law, you can still write to us at contact@teddy-code.com and we will answer.
Security
Everything Tiltza stores lives in your device's app-private storage and is protected by your operating system and your screen lock. Keeping your device updated and locked is the best protection for it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new text is published inside the app and the effective date above is updated. Substantive changes, such as enabling advertising, arrive together with an app update, so you can read them before installing.
