These terms are the agreement between you and Teddy Code LLC for the use of Woggli. They are written to be read. The single most important thing in them: Woggli connects collectors, it is not a party to your exchange, and it never handles money between users.
Woggli is an app for the scout movement where collectors show their badges, neckerchiefs and woggles, find other collectors, agree exchanges between themselves and keep track of the parcels that follow.
Woggli is published by Teddy Code LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of New Mexico, United States. By creating an account you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 13 years old. If the age of digital consent where you live is higher, you need the involvement of a parent, guardian or scout leader.
You need an account that is genuinely yours: your own email address, a username you control, and a real date of birth. You may not impersonate another scout, a scout group or an official scout organisation, and you may not open a new account to get around a suspension.
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has got into it.
Every profile on Woggli is public. There is no private mode, and signing up means accepting that your profile and your posts can be seen by anyone using the app.
You keep ownership of your photos and your words. To be able to show them, we need your permission: by posting, you grant Teddy Code LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, resize and display that content inside Woggli, for as long as you keep it published and for the short period it takes our backups to roll over after you delete it.
This licence exists so the app can function. It does not let us sell your photos, license them to third parties or use them in paid advertising. If we ever want to feature your collection in something like a store listing or a social post, we will ask you first.
Post only pieces you actually own or are genuinely looking for, and describe their condition honestly. Only upload images you took or have the right to publish, and do not publish recognisable photographs of other people — especially minors — without their permission.
Woggli has five rules, which you accept when you join and which you can read at any time in the app: camaraderie, respect, honesty, brotherhood and care. They are the standard by which content and behaviour are judged, and they are part of these terms.
An exchange on Woggli is an agreement between two scouts. Teddy Code LLC is not a party to it, does not guarantee it and does not act as an intermediary, escrow agent or insurer. We do not verify that a piece is authentic, that it is in the condition described, or that it will be posted.
The platform never processes payments between users. Woggli has no checkout, no wallet and no card details, and asking another scout for money through it breaks the rules. If you choose to arrange anything involving money outside the app, you do it entirely at your own risk and without any protection from us.
Shipping, customs, duties, insurance and anything that gets lost, damaged or stopped at a border are between the two of you and the carrier you chose. Before you exchange with someone, check what your country allows you to send and receive.
Some things end an account. On Woggli you may not:
Every post, comment, message and profile can be reported from inside the app, and we review what comes in. You can also block anyone, at any time, without explanation: blocking hides both of you from each other across the feed, search, profiles, chat and shipments.
Where a rule is broken, the response is proportionate and escalates: a warning, removal of the content, a temporary mute, exchanges blocked, the account suspended, and a permanent ban for fraud, harassment or harming a minor. Serious cases are referred to the authorities together with the evidence.
We can remove content or suspend an account when we reasonably believe these terms or the rules have been broken. Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we tell you why, and you can contest a decision by writing to contact@teddy-code.com.
Woggli is free today. There are no paid features, no subscription and no advertising in the app.
If we introduce a paid tier, we will publish its price and what it includes before it goes live, it will be optional, and it will never put a fee on an exchange between two scouts. Purchases made through an app store are also subject to that store’s terms and refund rules.
Woggli is an independent project by Teddy Code LLC. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the World Organization of the Scout Movement, the World Scout Bureau, or any national scout association. Names, emblems and badges belonging to those organisations remain theirs, and appear on Woggli only as the collectible objects that scouts photograph and describe.
The Woggli name, logo and the design of the app belong to Teddy Code LLC.
Woggli is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise that it will be available without interruption, free of defects, or that data will never be lost, and we may change or withdraw features as the product develops.
To the extent permitted by law, Teddy Code LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, nor for anything arising out of an exchange between two scouts, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the previous twelve months or fifty US dollars. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded, including for death, personal injury or fraud, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
You can stop using Woggli whenever you like, and you can ask us to delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the community rules, or where keeping it open would put other scouts at risk.
The clauses that are meant to survive do survive: the licence you granted for content still published, the limits of liability, and the governing law below.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States, excluding its conflict of law rules, and the courts of that state have jurisdiction. If you use Woggli as a consumer resident in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another country whose law gives you the right to sue and be sued where you live, that right is untouched by this clause.
When we change something material we update the effective date at the top and tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Woggli after that means you accept the new version; if you do not, you can delete your account.
